Matanuska Glacier

Daddy came in on Thursday Night. He is gonna be here for about a month! We have several things planned to do while he is here. Sort of our get it all in before the snow falls plans, lol. The first on our list to do was the Matsu Glacier. It is a 25 mile valley glacier in the matanuska valley. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there, but the drive is beautiful! You can drive up and walk right out on the glacier. The kids had a ball!

People climbing the side of the Glacier wall. We didn't walk out that far. We had 12 kids and 5 adults with us!

The boys and other kids left us behind. Mrs. Kristie was with them.

Ice melting off the big, dirty hunk of ice

This crack had water running into it. From the sound of the falling water the end was "WAY WAY FAR"!

Say Cheese!

This was a hole filled with melted snow. The kids were throwing rocks down into it and watching them disappear!

Me and Jadyn before the hike. She was tired when we got there, so I carried her part of the way in the Mei Tai Carrier. When she realized that all the other kids were having fun, she wanted OUT!
