Fishwheel Fort

Our yard is like a beacon for kids in the neighborhood. They come from all over the street to play here. I'm not sure why, I don't have a trampoline or a really cool swing set or any of the fancy stuff that some yards have. But, they still come. This was yesterday's project! A fort! It was pretty cool and last all day! It kept them busy and I knew where Jadyn was without having to chase her, hehe.

425 Website

This is a website for all things 425. I didn't see any pictures of Jerome, but he has a way of hiding from cameras, lol. There is a lot of good video and pictures of the Brigade and what they are doing in Afghanistan.

The article, "Paratroopers Get Dirty and Stay Connected", is about his soldiers! Go Charlie Company! We love you!

Dinner Time!

You know those nights when you don't want to cook dinner? At my house we just build a fire! Instant dinner and they cook it themselves!

The best part is dessert, SMORES!

Sleeping Kids!

This was the kids after our long day yesterday! It was nice. I wanted to just drive around and enjoy the peace, hehe. I knew it wouldn't last long after we got home, and it didn't! I should have just pulled over and took a nap myself, lol!

H2Oasis

After the parade we went to the H2Oasis Water park. It was free in honor of all deployed spouses! It is normally like 18 per person to get in, so of course we are gonna take advantage of this! Plus, I found an H2Oasis gift card from The boy's birthday party in February. I thought it had like $5 on it, so I took it to get sodas with. Turns out it had $25!! We didn't have to pay for a thing all day. How awesome is that! We had fun! I got to sit in the hot tub for a few minutes, and even did a water slide. Jadyn loved playing on the pirate ship and in the lazy river. The boys had fun swimming and Justin did some of the slides too. Maybe next time I can get Jared to go down a big slide!

Bear Paw Festival

This weekend is the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River. We went Friday for some fun activities and rides. You can read about those with the pictures. Then Saturday our church opened the grounds to the community for free parking. We also had a bounce house, free hot dogs, crafts, and face painting. We might go back this afternoon for the ice cream eating contest and to watch the Smith's in the 300 yard marathon!

We went tot the Teddy Bear Picnic on Friday, There was free food and lots of fun stuff to do!

Jared and Jadyn participated in the Lunch Box Derby. They had to make a car out of vegetables and race it down a ramp. This was Jared's car at the end of the race. He made it off the ramp. Jadyn did not. The winner went 15 feet, wow!

Justin just wanted to suck the helium out of the balloon. I told him NO, but he didn't listen.

Jared and Jadyn posing with their lunch box derby cars.

Justin and Jared in line waiting to be judged for the stinkiest shoe contest.

Jared getting his foot judged. I wouldn't want that job!

Me and Jadyn on the BIG Ferris Wheel

Justin say Cheese!

Jared wouldn't ride. He said it was too big! He told Jadyn she would die. When we got to the top she was laughing and said, "I'm not gonna die, YEA!!"

Goose Lake

The weather has been awesome for the last few weeks! It has been in the 80's all week! That is great during the day, but no so much at night when we are trying to sleep! We do not have air conditioning! That is usually not a problem in Alaska, but this week has been HOT! I took the kids with some friends to a local lake to cool off. They had a good time!
