Eagle River Nature Center

Today we went to ER Nature Center to hike. We had beautiful weather and saw some awesome wildlife! Jadyn was eating berries all along the trail. We saw a park worker guy who thought they were poisonous baneberries! I was pretty sure they were low bush cranberries, but he wanted to be sure. He tookthe 4 wheeler back to the center and before we got there he had already called several places to find out what to do and identified the plants. LOL, turns out they were just cranberries! But it was nice that they were so concerned!

Jared and Luke walked right up to this moose and never saw it till I pointed it out! Good thing she didn't have a baby! She was only about 20 yards from the side of the path! She didnt seem to care that we were there. She just kept eating and then walked off after a few minutes.

Hornets Nests right off the trail! Watch out!

Jadyn wanted me to take her picture on EVERY rock!

There was a cute little cabin about 2 miles down the trail. It was so neat! It is right on the water and has a nice outhouse, wood and fire pit, and a stove to keep warm and cook food! The kids want to go back and camp there, I was thinking it would be cool for me and Jerome to do BY OURSELVES!!!

Jadyn can SWING!!!!

Jadyn LOVES to be pushed on the swing. She likes to go FAST and is a DAREDEVIL! Tonight she showed me that she finally learned how to make HERSELF swing! YEA! But, you know that doesn't get me off the hook. Every kids likes to be pushed. I still here it from Justin when we go to the park with the big swings. They boys were playing with Poppy on the other side, so I kept filming....It was pretty funny too!

Jadyn learns a lot from her brothers! Unfortunately, She learned this from Jared AND Khun YA! Ya taught her to pee off the deck when we were at the river. She tried to pee in the back yard standing up tonight! When I told her to get inside, I got this photo. Right about the time I took it she stuck her butt out and said, "Hey, Jared, smell my BUT OX!" Oh My Goodness! What am I gonna do with her!

Jadyn

There was a picnic thing at the YS behind our house. This was Jadyn's cute kitty that she had painted on her face. Jared had a skull painted all over his face, but he wouldn't let me take a picture of him.

Matanuska Glacier

Daddy came in on Thursday Night. He is gonna be here for about a month! We have several things planned to do while he is here. Sort of our get it all in before the snow falls plans, lol. The first on our list to do was the Matsu Glacier. It is a 25 mile valley glacier in the matanuska valley. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there, but the drive is beautiful! You can drive up and walk right out on the glacier. The kids had a ball!

People climbing the side of the Glacier wall. We didn't walk out that far. We had 12 kids and 5 adults with us!

The boys and other kids left us behind. Mrs. Kristie was with them.

Kids in the parking lot before we left.

Ice melting off the big, dirty hunk of ice

This crack had water running into it. From the sound of the falling water the end was "WAY WAY FAR"!

Say Cheese!

This was a hole filled with melted snow. The kids were throwing rocks down into it and watching them disappear!

Me and Jadyn before the hike. She was tired when we got there, so I carried her part of the way in the Mei Tai Carrier. When she realized that all the other kids were having fun, she wanted OUT!

15 YEARS!!!

August 6, 1994

I love you, Jerome! Happy 15th Anniversary!!!!

Reasons Why

Our love is the long lasting kind;
We’ve been together quite awhile.
I love you for so many things,
Your voice, your touch, your kiss, your smile.

You accept me as I am;
I can relax and just be me.
Even when my quirks come out,
You think they’re cute; you let me be.

With you, there’s nothing to resist;
You’re irresistible to me.
I’m drawn to you in total trust;
I give myself to you willingly.

Your sweet devotion never fails;
You view me with a patient heart.
You love me, dear, no matter what.
You’ve been that way right from the start.

Those are just a few reasons why
I’ll always love you like I do.
We’ll have a lifetime full of love,
And it will happen because of you.

. . . and AFTER!!!!

I finally got the pictures of the kids rooms posted! Jadyn wanted me to put hers on here too, not to be outdone by the boys, lol.

This is Jadyn's room. It is small, but she doesn't mind. The last picture is her with her "heart" that her daddy sent her in a letter. She LOVED it!

This is the toy room. They were watching a movie and looking at books. Jared was cleaning the window, lol. If I had known that all it would take was a spray bottle...

Below are the pictures from the boys room. I think they like having the two twin beds. The closet doors will not stay on the track, so I just took them off. I am gonna get a curtain or something to put over the door, but it is SO wide.
