Pictures from the boys Seattle Trip

These are from Khun Ya's Camera, so there are not any from the football game. They all forgot their cameras, but I told the men to get disposable ones. I don't think they did. But I will post whatever I can get from them later.

They went to the fish market. Notice the guy on the left catching the bag of fish.

Walking back to the hotel because Seattle taxis wont carry 5 or 6 people.

My boys and Khun Ya.

Jacob adopted Khun Ya for the week.

They went to eat at the Crab Pot, and of course they called to BRAG!!!
How Rude.

I'm not sure why Justin is wearing the bib. He doesn't eat seafood at all.
I think he had a cheeseburger.

Christmas Memories Past and Present

You know how some smells can bring back long forgotten memories. It is amazing, but the nose is the sense that is most closely related to memory. Maybe that is why I love candles so much. Jadyn got a real Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas this year. Wow I LOVE how they smell. I told Jerome that it made me think back to when I was 9 and got my first one. I think my mom and PawPaw stood in line for hours to get us all a Cabbage Patch Kid. Jadyn loved hers too. She kept changing its diaper over and over again. Sometimes it would poopy and sometimes it would just pee pee, but she didn't stop till....

She had to go herself, LOL. She didn't make it to the bathroom.
She wet her panties right before she made it to the toilet.

Then she went right back to playing with the diapers. Now I have a new Cabbage Patch memory, hehe.

Lisa keeps asking me for more pictures of Dakota.
Here is a good one of her and Khun Ya.

Jadyn and Daddy had too much!

They made it just in time!

Christmas Day at the airport.

Jadyn and Leilani Waiting for daddy and brothers.

The boys were so excited to be home. They couldn't wait to get inside and see what Santa brought. We made them come off the porch and wait for everybody to get inside together. Daddy was unloading the car.

Lots of Presents, and Good Food!

This might not have been the typical Christmas that I had hoped for, but it was full of memories that will last forever. We never got the gingerbread house decorated this year and daddy had to read the Christmas story a bit late, but we had a great time together at home and in Seattle.

Update

Well, it looks like they won't be home till Christmas day. Anong has a flight here on Wed night. She will get in around 1130pm. Then, the boys have a flight at 8:00am Christmas morning. They should be here around noon. They are having a good time in Seattle though. They moved to a hotel with an indoor pool. Jerome if you are reading this please buy Jared a pair of shorts or something, LOL. He went swimming in his underwear. Today they are going to the fish market, and I think they were gonna rent a car to do other stuff. I guess Jerome and Randal are just getting an extended mini vacation with the boys before they have to deploy in February. I just hope it doesn't cost too much extra.
In the mean time, Jadyn and I are just hanging out. I went shopping for Anong yesterday to get presents for kids, and today I am going to battle the grocery store so that I can have Christmas dinner somewhat prepared for Thursday evening. I might take Jadyn to Chuck E Cheese's for lunch. Merry Christmas!

Due to Weather

Anong's flight is cancelled too.

Canceled and Delayed Flights

Well, The boys are stuck in Seattle. Alaska Air says they can't get them out till Dec 25th at 8am. Which means they won't be here till lunch time on Christmas day. AAAAHHHH! They are living it up at the hotel, but the boys are disappointed. They were so looking forward to waking up at home on Christmas morning. This was the one thing Jared was afraid of happening. He asked me several times this week if they would be back for Christmas. I guess it could be worse. At least they will be home on Christmas. There is always hope that flights will open up tomorrow, Tuesday or Wednesday. So, please keep us in your prayers!!!

Khun Ya (Jerome's mom) is also stuck in Seattle. Right now her flight just says that it is delayed and should be boarding shortly. So I am just watching to see if I have to go to the airport tonight or if Jerome needs to make room for one more in the hotel room. Either way I guess she will be with one or two of her grandchildren for a few days. She was suppose to leave AK on the 28Th, so this kind of messes up her plans for the holidays too.

How is it that Alaska Air is the only one to cancel flights when other airlines were still coming here from Seattle?

We are still very blessed. Family, gifts, traditions... are all part of Christmas, but even with spoiled plans we have reason to celebrate. The only gift that matters is Jesus.
Thank you, Lord, for your Christmas gift to us so many years ago. Your Grace is still sufficient for us today. You are our hope of life, love, and many more Christmases to come. Help me to remember you this week instead of the pity party that I have been throwing for the last few hours, LOL.

KEEP PRAYING!!!

Quiet House

Back in October Jerome took Jadyn to Alabama to visit family and the boys had to stay here in school. They were a little disappointed that they didn't get to take a trip with dad, so Jerome planned a great weekend for them too. They left Friday for Seattle. They have a cool hotel with room service, so the boys are in heaven, LOL. Yesterday they went to see the space needle and other stuff around Seattle. Today they are going to see the Seattle Sea hawks and the NY Jets play. They are coming home late tonight. I'm kind of jealous, but I am so glad they are getting to spend some one on one time with Dad before he leaves in February for Afghanistan.

Jadyn and I have been playing last night we went to Target and looked around. Friday night she had a sitter, and my friend Monica and I went to Chilli's for dinner. (Thanks Candance and Kyle for the the gift cards!) Then we went to Old Navy and I got some cool deals. We tried to get a quick ice cream before we had to pick up Jadyn, but McDonald's and Burger King had broken machines.

The house has been extremely quiet! But that should change tomorrow. Khun Ya comes in tonight too. She gets here a couple of hours before the kids get back. The boys forgot to take the camera. I tried to tell Jerome to get a disposable one, but I'm not sure if he did or not. If they do have pics I will post them Monday. Now have to go get ready for church. Have a great day!

All I want for Christmas...

Is My Front tooth!

BSTB Christmas Party

The kids were waiting in line to see Santa.

Notice that Jadyn is NOT with the boys.
Jerome is holding her because she did "not like Santa Clause".

Merry Christmas!

Jadyn Changed her mind completely when the elf handed her a present.

I'm A Star

Last night Jerome discovered something that I have known for a while. I think it is hilarious, and I was surprised that I had not already told him about it. He was playing on his new laptop and googled my name. I have a blog and a website for Gold Canyon, so it should come up right? Well, NO Ginger Jones apparently is a blond bombshell porn star, LOL. I found out months ago when I signed up for Gold Canyon and did a search of myself. So for any of you interested in my website make sure you get the address from my emails or click on the link to the left. Don't try to google me - especially with kids in the room.

One of my Favorite songs

This is one of my favorite songs. It is not played much on Christian radio, but it is great! It says its by Silers Bald, but the singer/writer is now on her own. Her name is Laura Story. Check her out on itunes, she has a lot of good stuff.

Picture Time

Today after church we has the kids pose for some pictures so that I could make our Christmas Cards. These were some of the ones we did not use, but I thought I would share them.
There is a cute story behind the manger scene ones. We had the kids stand by it, and they were kidding around "talking" to Mary and Joseph. When we got home and I down loaded them to the computer Jadyn was looking at the slide show with me. When it was done she told me that she wanted to see God. At first I didn't know what she meant, then I thought maybe she was talking about the nativity ones. When I got back to the picture below she said, "See it's God's Mommy!"

Right from the mouths of babes. Jesus is God with us. The miracle of Christmas isn't that God came to earth, but that he came to die for us! Even with all the sin and mess ups that we have everyday. Jesus knew that we were the ones that should die and he still CHOSE to come to save me. Hope you all have a very Christ filled Christmas. Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Justin and Jared had a Math and Science Night at school. The boys were drinking red kool-aide, so they look like they are wearing lipstick. These big rocket balloons were a hit.

Jared loved making goo. I think he made it in every color!

Justin pigging out on PIZZA!

Last Week we got lots of snow! Welcome back Jerome - Get to shoveling, LOL! I thought I would put some pics of Jadyn and Jared having some fun. It was dark outside, but it was only like 5pm. Of course, Justin was inside at his favorite spot, in front of the computer. That's just one of the things I can be Thankful for while living in Alaska. We are guaranteed a WHITE CHRISTMAS! I remember praying for snow at Christmas time in Alabama. I miss the south, but it really feels like Christmas here for a LONG time.

So, we didn't beat Florida. ROLL TIDE ANYWAY!!!!! GO BAMA!

Just had to do it!

Bring it on Florida!

Daddy's Home

Jerome got home friday afternoon. The kids were so excited to see him, me too! He was really tired, but they only let him rest for a bit before attack! Since he missed Thanksging day we invited some friends over and I cooked on Sunday. I had planned to just have ham and the fixin's. But the weather sort of changed my plans. I won a turkey at Justin's school Bingo night, and I left it in the car since there was no room in my freezer. It stayed frozen solid for two weeks, but after my shopping Friday morning and the little bit of warm up in weather (35) it started to thaw. Therefore, we had turkey (deep fried) and ham. We have been eating leftovers for days, but tonight I have to cook. I have had enough! LOL.

Thanksgiving Fun

Jadyn goes to preschool twice a week. They had a little Thanksgiving party in her class Wednesday. They made these Turkeys out of candy and cookies. They were so cute that we made our own version at home with Oreo cookies, candy corn, red hots, malt balls, and chocolate icing. Jadyn had a much better time digging in at home as you can see from her messy face. Since Jerome was not home Thursday we took them to our friends Beth and Nathan's House for Thanksgiving. I think all the kids enjoyed them.

Pomegranates

Khun Ya (Jerome's Mom) has a pomegranate tree and sent us three. We can get them up here, but they are very expensive. You would have thought that Jadyn had gotten a huge pile of toys or something when they got here. She was dancing around and screaming. It was so cute. These are the pictures of her eating her new favorite fruit. I thought she was being so good not to make a mess while she was eating, but when I went to clean off the table I realized that pomegranate juice was EVERYWHERE! It was on the ceiling, walls, table, clothes... The boys didn't like them, so Jadyn was very happy not to have to share.
